Job Description

      I.   Duties

Admissions Manager manages the Admissions for the Him Lam International School (HimlamIS), manages the Admissions processes in line with the Admissions Plan and Policies, strategizes new procedures and processes that better serve growth for HimlamIS, and oversees training and up-skilling of Admissions Team in sales and quality customer service.

Responsibilities

  1. Admissions
  • Manage the Admissions Department to ensure policies and processes are followed in line with the schools Admissions Plan (including tuition incentives, accelerated enrolment, etc.)
  • Develop systems and processes to support admissions growth for HimlamIS.
  • Further develop all admissions staff to ensure continuity in regards to sales for HimlamIS.
  • Provide information interviews, meetings and emails to foreign and Vietnamese prospective parents and companies to promote enrolment.
  • Liaise with companies and relocation agents fostering relationships to promote growth for HimlamIS.
  • Manage distribution of workload to the Admissions Team. Maintain and providing a regular reporting system for management in regards to enrolment.
  • Work closely with Principals, School Operations Managers, Academic Advisory Officers, School Counsellors, and other related Departments in caring for admission records, withdrawals, transcripts and other related tasks.
  1. Community Liaison
  • Maintain effective working relationships within the internal (parent and teacher community) and with external (local and overseas) associates.
  • Liaise with important community groups i.e. Corporate Clients, Cultural Representative Group, PTO etc.
  • Advise the Board of Management regarding observations about academics within HimlamIS, through statistical reporting, local and job knowledge.
  • Address any other matters related to the position which may be requested by the Board of Management from time to time.
  1. PR & Marketing Support
  • Assist with the development of appropriate materials and school publications for PR & Marketing purposes.
  • Other Admissions, PR & Marketing activities as required/requested by the BOD.

   II.   Requirements

  1. Education
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Sales/Marketing/Communications/Public Relations or in other related fields

      2. Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a role of Admissions/Sales/Marketing management.
  • Previous experience in K-12 international school would be an advantage
  • Sound knowledge in Vietnam employments laws, regulations and practices

     3. Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Vietnamese (plus other language)
  • Teamwork skills, ability to work independently; high sense of responsibility and initiative
  • Ability to work under high pressure, flexible in business travel and working locations
  • Goal-oriented and being mindful of organizing, planning and implementing effective plans
  • Ability to motivate staff and inspire employees to work
